I think this is a fantastic 2 karat aquamarine pendent. I wasn't sure what to get my girlfriend for her birthday but I saw a lot of positive reviews for this particular piece of jewelry. My girlfriend was flabbergasted when she received it. Highly recommend it to any girl who's birthstone happens to be aquamarine.

However, there are a couple of downsides to this product. The free 14k gold chain that comes with it is very fine and very thin. It looks like it would snap within a week or two. I would recommend buying a thicker, more durable chain to accompany the pendent so that it doesn't fall off. Also, the gemstone is nowhere near as bright blue as Amazon depicts it. Bought along with DETAILED PATTERN Design Silver Tone Pewter FINGER Ring SPIKE. I received this finger ring today, and although it's pretty with a solid feel, it has two small problems (that were not problems with the other finger armor I bought).

First, some of the black coloring used to fill in the crosses has been smeared onto the middle section. In my case, however, this isn't any huge problem, because the way the base piece overlaps, it's pretty hidden, and it's a line at the bottom of the base, so even if my finger is curled, you are more likely to see it as part of the design.

Second, one of the hinges has already broken. Again, in my case, this isn't a big problem. It is one hinge on one side on one section, and since the other side is tight enough, it has not hurt my ability to wear it at all. This breaking is partly my fault, since it's pewter and I bent it too quickly, but if only the hinges were made of a stronger metal, while the rest of the ring still pewter, I can't help but think it's durability would be greatly improved. In fact, I'm thinking of looking through the crafts store to see if there aren't some types of jewelry fastenings that I can replace the weaker pewter pieces with.

I was very pleased with this purchase. I get compliments on this ring all the time! It is the perfect size. It's not to big (I have very small hands) that it overpowers you, yet it is big enough to get noticed. It was delivered quickly with a nice bag to store it in. One thing to note: the photo makes the ring look as if it has a brushed silver finish, when actually it is a bright silver finish (which I prefer).

Pleasantly surprised by the quality. (2009-06-19)
I was very happy when I received this necklace. I was thinking that if I don't like it I will use it to make some other jewelery or just a bracelet but on receiving it I realized that it's great just as a necklace.

These are smaller (petite pea size) button pearls that are flattened on both sides rather than complete round. That makes the necklace pretty dense, and with 72 inches you can do 3-4 turns. It will look fabulous with a black dress where you want a layered necklace look. The pearls are not individually knotted though so it catches my hair a bit at the back of my neck and it may also break more easily if it gets caught on something.

However, for the price I paid for these real pearls in the discount sale I am very happy. I have paid more for necklaces from Claire's which were just cheap metal or beads.

Please note this strand of pearls isn't knotted between each pearl, which means although it can be worn as is, there's a good chance neck hairs will be snagged and tugged. I'm rating this with five stars because the pearls themselves are quite nice, very uniform in shape, nicely white in color, have good luster, and at 72 inches of pearls, anyone with basic beading skills can restring this endless strand into four 18-19 inch necklaces (depending on clasp chosen). It could also be transformed into three sets of necklaces with matching bracelets and simple dangle earrings.

For restringing purposes, it's actually a benefit that the endless necklace isn't knotted between each pearl--taking it apart for restringing is fast & easy. Think bridal party jewelry! According to my local bead shops, pearls of this size, uniformity and overall quality sell for an average of fourteen dollars per 16 inch string. Even without a gold box added discount, the Amazon price is excellent! Imagine four necklaces or three pearl sets for a total of about fifty dollars and a bit of time in the restringing. These are very nice earrings no question. The only thing I would tell people to note when buying is the fact the earring is not a post but it is a rounded hook like the photo shows and this style of pierced earring is much harder to get through the hole in the ear than a straight post or fish hook style earring. So-so Pearl Studs... (2009-04-24)
Ordered 3 pair of these earrings, to use as gifts. Out of a total of 6 earrings, 2 were not glued completely to the posts, at danger of falling off posts, but these pearls were good, very minor blemishes, almost flawless. Two were very severly blemished on the front, most visible part of the pearls, with many dents and bumps. Two had dark spots, swirls and blemishes, again on the front of the pearls. None were near as pristine as in the picture. The blemishes/dark areas were visible from across the room. The good thing is that the posts and backs were solid and secure. Also, Akoya pearls have a nice, lustrous sheen. Returned for refund, as I would not want to give these as a gift to someone I liked. With Amazon jewelry, it is real hit or miss. I'm glad they are good about returns. Thanks Amazon! Very disappointed.

I was very pleased with my order. The set looked beautiful and they were perfect for bridesmaid favors. The only thing I didn't like was that the bracelet was a little too small. If you think about it though, even if they only included the necklaces and earrings it's a very good buy.

Great item, received within a few days. (This is basically the same review I'm writing for the pink pearls, which I also bought).

The pearls are quite small (maybe .5 cm in diameter) but that's what I was expecting. Note that these are freshwater pearls, so they're not perfectly round, but they still look great! Nice everyday glam.

I didnt pay much or get much. They are white and round and thats about it. They would make a great gift for a blind, homeless little girl.

Flimsy and not as good looking as the image suggests (2009-05-14)
The necklace is really quite thin and flimsy. I was hoping it would be delicate instead it looks like it would snap or bend out off shape easily (yes.. this is a fine line). The pearls are smaller than expected and some of them have surface blemishes (visible from up close). While the delivery was prompt, I wish the product was more accurately represented in the image.

Pretty Little Necklace (2008-06-04)
My husband bought me this little necklace for my birthday. I love it. It is very delicate looking, and on my neck it looks like a spray of little pearls. But it also stand up to the yanking of my 18-month-old! Inexpensive, sylish, durable--what more could you want?

Please note that is is a short necklace, almost like a choker. It sits on my collar bones.

Horrible quality (2009-05-11)
They advertise the necklace as being appraised, however, in a response to the complaint I sent the company replied:

"Please understand that original appraisals from certified appraisers cost between $120 to $150 each in nationwide market. Thus we are not able to send the original appraisals along the order. The copy of the appraisal is for reference purposes only."

Obviously each individual necklace is not appraised, and the company sends a copy of an appraisal for a similar necklace. The appraisal itself refers to a particular necklace, not a group of necklaces. There is no guarantee that the necklace you receive has actually been appraised at all.

The reason I am writing this is because I received a horrible quality necklace with many pits and a very dull luster. It is frustrating to me that the company thinks it is okay to present something as being actually appraised when it in fact has not been.

I don't usually purchase jewelry on the web, but I wasn't impressed by what my local jewelry stores had to offer or their prices. Augustina has excellent reviews, good product and excellent prices so I thought they

The necklace is exactly as described and comes in a nice gift box. I had a couple of quick questions about the necklace so I called customer service. I am buying a second set of these earring now so I am definitely a satisfied customer. I wear these to work and though I don't care for all of the colors they have, I love the price and I think the quality is pretty decent. I constantly lose earrings so with these ones I simply buy another set and the problem is solved. I also bought a set for my sister, so I would recommend them. They are smaller in size than any other pearls I had but they still look cute.

I thought this product was a little too good to be true. I was right. After the first time I wore one of the pairs they broke. The post came unglued. You get what you pay for. There are five pairs so I guess I still have four to use. For the price they are not too bad I guess.

I was nervous buying this product online, sight unseen, but when it arrived, well within the shipping time quoted, I might add, I was amazed. I cannot begin to express the joy I felt when I looked this necklace over. I saw only the most minimal of flaws on the surface of the pearls. I have seen many pearls since in stores and as I compare them, I can't believe the deal I got. Especially over the freshwater pearls of the same size.
